EuroPsy

EuroPsy or European Certificate in Psychology refers to the common qualification standard of the European Federation of Psychologists Associations for psychologists in Europe. The EuroPsy determines the curricular framework for academic psychology training . The aim is to promote mobility within Europe through comparable training standards. In addition, clients, contractors and employers should be reliably informed about the competencies of psychologists. First model tests were carried out in Finland , Germany , Hungary , Italy , Spain and the United Kingdom . As of September 2015, the certificate is awarded in 20 countries.

Psychologists can be awarded the EuroPsy if you

  • have completed at least five years of psychology studies with a total of 300 credit points, which corresponds to the EuroPsy framework curriculum,
  • provide evidence of at least one year of supervised professional experience and
  • Commit to compliance with EFPA's professional ethical standards.

Certificate holders are entered in the European register that can be viewed on the Internet. The certificate is valid for seven years; an extension is possible on the basis of proven professional experience and advanced training.
