The Eurocode 7 (often short EC 7 ) is the name of the European standard EN 1997 with the title Design , Calculation and Dimensioning in Geotechnics and part of the series of Eurocodes .

EN 1997, which has been adopted as a national standard by the member states of the European Committee for Standardization ( CEN ), is subdivided into Part 1 General Rules and Part 2 Exploration and Investigation of the Subsoil .
