The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Squash Open 2013 will take place December 1-8, 2013 in Hong Kong . The men's squash tournament is part of the PSA World Tour 2013/14 and belongs to the World Series Platinum category . The women's squash tournament is part of the WSA World Tour 2013/14 and belongs to the World Series Gold category .

Defending champion for men is Ramy Ashour , for women Nicol David .

The fields of participation in the men's and women's competition consist of 32 players each, eight of which are starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Leo Au in the men's and Liu Tsz-Ling a spot in the main draw in the women each.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 150,000 for the men and $ 70,000 for the women.
