Stephen Coppinger (born September 24, 1984 in Dublin , Ireland ) is a former South African squash player .

Career

Stephen Coppinger was born in Dublin, Ireland, but grew up in his native South Africa. He attended Hilton College in KwaZulu-Natal.

He began his professional career in the 2006 season and won ten titles on the PSA World Tour . He reached his highest position in the world rankings with position 14 in April 2015. In 2014 he achieved his best result at a world championship when he made it to the quarter-finals. He won eight titles at the South African national championships between 2007 and 2016. With the South African national team he took part in world championships in 2007 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 . He ended his career in October 2017.
