Olli Tuominen (born April 15, 1979 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish squash player . In 2012 he became European champion .

Career

Olli Tuominen started his career in 1997 and won 15 tournaments on the PSA World Tour . In 1998, he was with the Finnish national team in Helsinki, the city of his birth, as vice European champion behind England. In 2012, he reached the final of the European Championship , which he won against the Spaniard Borja Golán 11: 8, 11: 9 and 11: 3. Once again the venue was Helsinki. Olli Tuominen achieved his highest place in the world rankings with rank 13 in February 2006. With the Finnish national team he took part in 1999 , 2001 , 2003 , 2005 , 2007 , 2009 , 2011 , 2013 and 2017 world championships. From 2000 to 2014, Olli Tuominen won the Finnish national championship every year , again in 2016, 2017 and 2020. He ended his career in May 2019 at the Montpellier Open .
