The International Yearbook for Hermeneutics (sometimes abbreviated with the Sigle IJH ) is a philosophical journal that has been published annually since 2002.

history

The yearbook was founded by Günter Figal , the professor of philosophy at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg , who has since acted as the main editor of the volumes with an annual thematic focus. The yearbook is published by Mohr Siebeck Verlag in Tübingen.

With hermeneutics , the yearbook presents one of the main currents of contemporary philosophy. The International Yearbook for Hermeneutics tries to take into account the breadth of possible approaches to hermeneutics and is historically as well as systematically open to all research directions that can connect to the questions of hermeneutics, be it critical or affirmative. Likewise, the yearbook attempts to take into account the interdisciplinary character of hermeneutics by appropriately addressing the possible relationships between philosophy and cultural studies in general, as well as literature, history, art studies and theology.
