The European Squash Championships are held both individually and with a team.
The European Championships have been held annually since 2004, but they were already held in 1990, 1992 and 1993. The team competitions have been held annually since 1973. Double and mixed competitions do not take place at European level. The competitions always take place separately.
history
The European team championship already has a long tradition, while the individual competition has only been a permanent fixture in the tournament calendar since 2004. Although this competition was held several times in the early 1990s, it was ignored for ten years. The great dominance of England in the team competitions is particularly striking . From 1973 to 2015, the men's winner was not from England only four times, while England was denied the women's title for the first time in 2010. In the men's singles, the winner from 2004 to 2015 came from France only in 2012. Grégory Gaultier is the record winner with nine titles, in the women’s Camille Serme is the record winner with six titles.
