European Squash Championships 2013

The 13 Squash Championships in individual ( english European Individual Closed Championships ) found from 4 to 7 September 2013 in Herentals , Belgium instead. The host was the European Squash Federation .

Defending champion for men was Olli Tuominen , for women Camille Serme . Tuominen reached the semi-finals this year, in which he was defeated 0: 3 to the French Grégory Gaultier . In the subsequent final, Gaultier defeated Simon Rösner 11: 9, 11: 4, 8:11 and 11: 3, which meant he won his seventh European title. For Rösner it was the first final participation in a European championship. In the women's category, Camille Serme was able to successfully defend her title. As in the previous year, she met Natalie Grinham from the Netherlands in the final , who she defeated 11: 3, 11: 7, 4:11 and 11: 6. It was Sermes second European title.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players and that of the women's competition consisted of 16 players. Of these, seven or six starting places were earmarked for qualifiers. Wildcards were not awarded, there are no prize money or world ranking points at European championships.
