European Squash Championship 2010

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 10 Squash Championships in individual ( english European Individual Closed Championships ) found from 26 to 29 May 2010 at the TC Güdingen in Saarbrücken - Güdingen instead.

Defending champion for men was Thierry Lincou , for women Natalie Grinham . Lincou reached the final against Grégory Gaultier again and, as in the previous year, benefited from Gaultier's premature injury-related abandonment. In the women's category, Jenny Duncalf defeated her opponent Vanessa Atkinson with 11: 8, 11: 5, 9:11, 10:12 and 11: 5. For Lincou it was the second title win, for Duncalf the third.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, that of the women's competition consisted of 30 players. There were five starting places for qualifiers for men, no qualification was played for women. Wildcards were not awarded, there are no prize money or world ranking points at European championships. In both fields, positions three and four, positions five to eight and positions nine to 16 were set in the form of a grouped setting. These settlements are therefore given in alphabetical order below.
