Aqeel Rehman (born December 12, 1985 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian squash player .

Career

Aqeel Rehman started his professional career in 2005 and has won ten tournaments on the PSA World Tour so far . In July 2012 he won the Tasmanian Open in Australia and in March 2013 the Austrian Open in his native Salzburg. In 2014 more victories followed in Christchurch and Poços de Caldas . This makes him the first native Austrian to win a PSA tournament. He reached his highest place in the world rankings with rank 81 in May 2013. Between 2007 and 2020 he won the Austrian state championship a total of 14 times . Aqeel Rehman has also completed numerous appearances in the Austrian national team , including in 2005 , 2007 , 2009 , 2011 , 2013 and 2017 at world championships. In the 2019/20 season he was the first Austrian ever to qualify for the individual world championship .
