Squash World Team Championship 2017

The 25th World Team Championship for Men ( English 2017 Men's World Team Squash Championship ) was held from November 26 to December 3, 2017 in Marseille , France instead. The tournament was organized by the French squash federation Fédération française de Squash and the World Squash Federation . A total of 24 teams competed.

Winner of the last discharge of 2013 was England .

mode

The participating teams were drawn into eight groups according to their placement, the group size was three teams. Within the groups, the game was played in round robin mode ; the two best-placed teams reached the final round, which was played in the knockout system . At the tournament all places were played, except for the game for third place. The two teams losing out in the semifinals both received bronze medals.

All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per encounter. A team won if its players could win two of the individual games. The order in which the individual games were played was independent of the order in which the players entered.

Participating teams

A total of 24 teams from the five continental federations competed: Europe , Asia , America , Africa and Oceania . The Iraq and Jamaica made their World Cup debut.
