Federación Panamericana de Squash
The Federación Panamericana de Squash (FPS), also known as Panamerican Squash Federation , is the umbrella organization for the sport of squash for the entire American region.
history
The FPS was founded in 1989, its first president was Juan Carlos Barvo from Colombia. Two years later, a pan-American squash tournament took place for the first time under the auspices of the FPS, in which four national associations took part. The association now has 28 member associations and is affiliated with the world association. In 1995 squash was part of the Pan American Games for the first time, also under the operation of the FPS . In addition, the FPS organizes the Pan American Championships.
The association is based in Caracas , Venezuela . The current president is Federico Serna from Mexico.
