The Malaysian national squash team is the entirety of the squash squash federation Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia . It includes Malaysian athletes who represent their country in individual and team competitions nationally and internationally in squash .

history

Men's

Malaysia first took part in a world championship in 1979 . The team finished their debut with twelfth place. In 1981 Malaysia decided not to participate and did not participate again until 1983 . Until 1989 Malaysia failed in the group stage. In 1991 the team refrained from participating again. The first entry into the quarter-finals came in front of a home crowd in Petaling Jaya in 1997 . Until 2013 she achieved another five times, her best result was achieved in 2007 and 2011 with fifth place.

Malaysia is one of the strongest teams at the Asian Championships . Between the first edition in 1981 and 2014, the team only missed the semi-finals in 1990. She was Asian champion three times: 2000, 2006 and 2008. She suffered final defeats in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2004, 2010 and 2014, all against Pakistan .
