Jonathan Kemp (born March 18, 1981 in Wolverhampton ) is a retired English squash player .

Career

Jonathan Kemp was a professional player from 1999 to 2014 and won 15 titles on the PSA World Tour . With the English national team , he won the European title in Espoo in 2011 . The team defeated the French selection in the final, Kemp defeated Julien Balbo in his final game 11: 7, 11: 1 and 11: 3. In April 2010 he achieved his best ranking with 20th place in the world rankings. From April 2003 to April 2014 Kemp was consistently in the top 50 of the world rankings. In June 2014 he ended his career with a tournament victory at the Kent Open 2014 in Kent .

Private

On June 7, 2012, Jonathan Kemp married the New Zealand squash player Jaclyn Hawkes . In addition to her resignation in late 2012, Hawkes also announced that she and Kemp were expecting a child. At the beginning of June 2013 their first daughter was born, and a little later the second.
