Stroischen is a part of the Saxon community Käbschützal in the district of Meißen .

geography

Stroischen is located in the Lommatzscher care about five kilometers west of the district town of Meißen in the center of the Käbschützal municipality area. The place is about 200 meters above sea level. The center of the village is formed by a three-sided courtyard and two four-sided courtyards , which are surrounded by agricultural land. One of these farmhouses' houses built in the first half of the 19th century is classified as a cultural monument and is therefore a listed building. District road 8074 runs north of the village, connecting Graupzig with Planitz , Leutewitz and Mohlis . From Stroischen, roads lead to the neighboring towns of Kaisitz and Löthain and towards Leutewitz.

Stroischen forms a district , on the western edge of which the Käbschützer Bach flows. The Jahnabach rises on the opposite eastern border and finally flows through Mehren and Niederjahna into the Elbe at Keilbusch . The district borders on Kaisitz in the north, Mehren is neighboring to the east. To the southwest is Löthain, to the south is the district of Löbschütz / Ja.-Lö. Neighboring in the southwest is Mauna, to the west of Stroischen is Leutewitz. Like Stroischen, all the surrounding towns are part of Käbschützal.

history

The first documentary mention as Strossin was handed down for the year 1205 . Later, the names Ztrossim (1231), Stroschin (1402) and Strossen (1547) are also found. In the year 1791 Stroischen is handed down. In the 16th century, the village belonged to the Meissen estate in the Electorate of Saxony . The manorial rulership lay partly with the manor Niederjahna and the sovereign (district village ). The inhabitants of the village had to pay a fee to a monk Heinrich from (Nieder-) jahna, he was not only the office of Meißen but also court lord in Stroischen.

To the peasant hamlet Stroischen a 158 extended in 1900 hectares large block and strip-floor , which was managed. The farmers in the village now went the way of agriculture in the GDR . On March 1, 1974, Löthain merged with Jahna-Kagen to form the new Jahna-Löthain community.

In the district reform in 1994 , the district of Meißen-Radebeul (from 1996 district of Meißen ) was formed from the old area of ​​the district of Meißen and parts of the district of Dresden-Land , to which Stroischen belonged until 2008. Also in 1994, Krögis , Jahna-Löthain and Planitz-Deila united to form the new large municipality Käbschützal with 37 districts.
