Planitz-Deila

Planitz-Deila was a municipality that existed from 1913 to 1994. It went on January 1, 1994 in the Saxon community Käbschützal .

Geography and history

Planitz-Deila was west of the city of Meißen on the left bank of the Elbe . Before its dissolution in 1994, the community consisted of the six districts Planitz , Deila , Käbschütz , Leutewitz , Niederstößwitz and Sornitz . The total area of ​​the municipality was about 676 hectares.

In 1913 the previously independent towns of Planitz and Deila merged to form Planitz-Deila. The young community was part of the Meißen district administration and in 1925 had 247 inhabitants. The places Käbschütz, people joke Niederstößwitz and Sornitz were on November 1, 1935 incorporated , resulting in a sharp increase in population was 629 in 1939 result. After the Second World War , Planitz-Deila was part of the Soviet occupation zone and later the GDR . After the population had peaked at 865 in 1946, it fell again over the next few years. In 1950 there were 853 inhabitants. In the 1952 district reform , the community came to the Meißen district in the Dresden district . In 1964, 550 people lived in Planitz-Deila. After the reunification and reunification , the community remained in the district of Meißen. The population was 483 in 1990.

On January 1, 1994, the three municipalities of Planitz-Deila, Jahna-Löthain and Krögis merged to form the large municipality of Käbschützal with 37 districts. The districts of the original communities became districts of Käbschützal, Planitz-Deila is no longer in use as an administrative name. The new municipality became part of the district of Meißen-Radebeul formed in the district reform in 1994 (from 1996 only district of Meißen ).
