Niederstößwitz is a district of the Saxon community Käbschützal in the district of Meißen .

geography

Niederstößwitz is located to the west of the district town of Meißen in the west of the Käbschützaler municipal area at about 200 meters above sea ​​level . Immediately east of Niederstößwitz is the source of the Planitzbach , which flows into the Käbschütz . This is a tributary of the Ketzerbach , which flows into the Elbe at Zehren . Niederstößwitz is connected to the neighboring town of Planitz by an asphalt road . This road ends in Niederstößwitz and branches into two unpaved roads.

The Niederstößwitz district borders in the north on Planitz, in the east on Deila , in the south-east on Porschnitz and in the south-west on Leippen . With the exception of Leippen, which belongs to the municipality of Ketzerbachtal , all the surrounding villages are part of the municipality of Käbschützal.

The place was first mentioned in 1334 as Stisewicz .
