The Planitzbach is a left tributary of the Zwickauer Mulde in Zwickau in the district of Zwickau ( Free State of Saxony ).

The Planitzbach rises west of the Oberplanitz district in the south of the city of Zwickau. From the escort pond ( 50 ° 41 ′ 1 ″ N, 12 ° 28 ′ 8 ″ E ) the Planitzbach is channeled underground to the north of the Himmelfürststraße tram station ( 50 ° 41 ′ 49 ″ N, 12 ° 28 ′ 50 ″ E ) in Niederplanitz . The lower course is located in the Schedewitz district , where it finally flows into the Zwickauer Mulde .
