The Ketzerbach is a brook in the Saxon district of Meißen .

It rises in the municipality of Nossen near the town of Katzenberg at 284 m above sea level. M. On its course to the west, the stream passes the village of Ilkendorf . The Ketzerbach flows around the Radewitzer Höhe (304.7 m) south and west. Its course runs between the Nossen districts of Wolkau and Saultitz and turns northeast at the district of Starbach. The Ketzerbach then passes the districts of Kreißa, Oberstößwitz, Pinnewitz and Ziegenhain (also from Nossen). Other places along the stream are Graupzig and Neugraupzig, Eulitz, Leuben , Neumühle, Wahnitz, Mertitz, Zöthain, Daubnitz, Wachtnitz, Prositz, Piskowitz and Schieritz . The Ketzerbach finally flows into the Elbe after 29.5 km in Zehren .

The lower course of the brook from Zöthain to the confluence with the Elbe was heavily straightened in the past. Between the Starbach and Wahnitz stops south of Lommatzsch , the Riesa – Nossen railway runs through the Ketzerbachtal. The line is closed in this section, but still exists.

The stream gave its name to the Ketzerbachtal community , which has since been dissolved, and the Ketzerbachtal administrative community, which no longer exists .
