The first recorded form of place names dates from 1334 as Eylkendorf or Eikendorf . A manor was first mentioned in 1336 and a farm in 1412 ; in 1551 the place belonged to the Wendischbora manor. In the middle of the 16th century, a Schneider family was entrusted with the Ilkendorf manor. In 1612 Georg von Lokowitz was heir, feudal lord and court lord. He was followed by Georg Heinrich von Preuss on Wendischbora. From 1677 to 1718 it was owned by Lieutenant Elder von der Planitz . In 1727 Ilkendorf became the property of Baron von Banner, and in 1732 it passed to War Commissioner Schüssler. The family owned the manor until the von Schwerdtner family bought it in 1827 .

August Schumann mentions in 1817 in the state, post and newspaper encyclopedia of Saxony Ilkendorf concerning a. a .:

"It was 11 ½  hooves , a mill of two  courses , is to Raußlitz the parish, and is owned by the local altschriftsässigen Manor, which also includes the village of Bodenbach and Lehnden Barbican are responsible."

In 1935 Göltzscha , Gohla, Lindigtvorwerk, Katzenberg and Radewitz were incorporated and the Gruna district of Lindigtvorwerk was reclassified to Ilkendorf. In 1936 the district of Neugohla was reclassified to Wendischbora. 1950 Ilkendorfer Lehden came to the community of Ilkendorf.

On January 1, 1973, the Ilkendorf community was incorporated into the Heynitz community . The latter was incorporated into the city of Nossen on January 1, 2003, making it a part of the municipality of Nossen since then.

The manor house, originally from 1334, now serves as the headquarters for the construction company of the owner, who acquired the property in the late 1990s. After the stable buildings - which served an LPG in GDR times - were first to be demolished, they were finally included in a riding stables that opened in 2006.
