from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gohla is a small village in the Saxon district of Meißen , which has been a district of Nossen since 2003 . Before it belonged to the Heynitz community , which was forcibly incorporated. The village is not far from federal highway 101 near Katzenberg.

geography

Gohla is located in the hilly foothills of the Ketzerbach valley. Not far from the village, the Ketzerbach rises in a forest depression. The place itself does not belong to the municipality of Ketzerbachtal . The location belongs to the outskirts of the Lommatzscher care , which has excellent soil values . Due to the incorporation into the city of Nossen, the place is part of the Altzella monastery district .

history

The area around Gohla was probably settled by farmers since 1803, who set up the first farm at that time. This still exists today as No. 1. Following this, the second farm was built in 1813 (No. 2). These two courtyards are still preserved today as a three-sided courtyard . Originally both courtyards were designed as four-sided courtyards . Both of them had their barn collapsed (No. 1 in 2007, due to a storm) or burned down (No. 2 in 1985, due to a lightning strike). Two other smaller four-sided courtyards have also been preserved.

An inn near the Ketzerbach is said to have existed until the mid-1970s.

As a result of the forced nationalization as LPGs, no independent farms are left of the former farms . The fields are leased to agricultural companies in the area and from the old federal states.

Riding therapy for children and adults has been opened since 2008 . There is also an apiary that emerged from the Heynitz apiary . In the autumn of 2008 a fruit press was opened, which endeavors to maintain the orchards in the Lommatzscher care .
