history
The place Planitz with the castle built around 1150 was in the 12th and 13th centuries in the possession of the Bailiffs von Weida , who enfeoffed the Lords of Planitz with it. The von der Planitz family then had the castle rebuilt. In 1572 Christoph von der Planitz had to sell the original property to Georg von Schönburg on Glauchau and Waldenburg for 40,000 guilders .
In 1412, the Lords of Planitz were enfeoffed with the rule of Wiesenburg , which brought them into connection with the Zwickau office . In 1591 the council of the city of Zwickau acquired the rule of Wiesenburg.
The family was given the title noble on November 19, 1522 at the II. Nuremberg Reichstag . On May 5, 1523, Emperor Charles V presented Dr. jur. Hans von der Planitz , landlord on Auerbach in Vogtland, a. a. Electoral Saxon advice and Reichskammergericht - Assessor in Speyer , the nobility of.
