Schieritz is a district of the Saxon community Diera-Zehren in the district of Meißen .

geography

Schieritz is to the left of the Elbe on State Road 32, directly southwest of Zehren. The Ketzerbach runs through the village and flows into the Elbe at Zehren.

In 1360 a manor was mentioned, the owner of which was Ulrich von Gorenzk as dicti de Schyricz and his wife Agnes with their five sons. Later it became a farm and later a manor . The Gutssiedlung to block and strip corridor Schieritz was in 1696 for Erbamt Meissen properly. Between 1856 and 1875 the village belonged to the Meißen court office, and then to the office of the same name . In 1900 the size of the district was 174 hectares . On November 1, 1935, Schieritz was incorporated into Zehren . Due to the district reform in 1952 , the place became part of the Meißen district , which was formed from the administrative authority and which expanded several times after the reunification. Diera and Zehren merged to form Diera-Zehren on January 1, 1999, and Schieritz has been part of this municipality since then.
