Golk is a district of the Saxon community Diera-Zehren in the district of Meißen .

Golk is located to the right of the Elbe on state road 88 from Meißen to Nünchritz, about 2 kilometers northwest of Diera . The seven-kilometer long Gosebach flows through the village towards Nieschütz . The Golk Forest is to the north and northeast of Golk.

Golk was first mentioned in 1380 as a place on the Kolke . In 1385 the place appears as the wood on the scour . The name is of Slavic origin. Golk was 1816 Erbamt Meissen and 1843 to the Official Großenhain properly. Between 1856 and 1875, Golk belonged to the Meissen court office, then to the office of the same name . In 1900 the size of the district was 48 hectares . All people living in Golk in 1925 were Protestant Lutheran . The place was parish after Zadel and today belongs to the local parish. In 1928 Raupenberg and Taschenmühle, previously districts of Zadel, were reclassified to Golk. Golk lost its independence on July 1, 1950 when it was incorporated into Nieschütz. The district reform in 1952 made the place part of the Meissen district . Nieschütz, in turn, was incorporated into Diera with Zadel in 1974. On January 1, 1999, the municipalities of Diera and Zehren merged to form the new municipality of Diera-Zehren.
