Davide Bianchetti (born March 8, 1977 in Brescia ) is a former Italian squash player .

Career

Davide Bianchetti began his professional career in 1996 and won twelve titles on the PSA World Tour . In addition, he was in 13 other finals. His highest ranking in the world rankings was 24th in October 2004. With the Italian national team , he took part in 2009 and 2011 world championships and several European championships . He became Italian champion in 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2014 . Bianchetti is known for heated discussions with referees. Among other things, this led to the disqualification of Bianchetti after the second set in the first round of the 2011 individual world championship against Saurav Ghosal .

Davide Bianchetti is in a relationship with the Swiss squash player Julia Schmalz . The couple became parents to a daughter in spring 2014.
