The European Team Championships for men and women in 2007 in Squash found from 2 to 5 May 2007 in Riccione , Italy , instead. A total of 27 teams competed in the men and 18 teams in the women. For men it was the 35th edition of the championship, for women it was the 30th edition.

The defending champion was England , whose teams won the title again this year. For the women’s team it was the 30th victory at a European team championship, for the men it was the 32nd victory. In the men's event , Lee Beachill , James Willstrop , Nick Matthew , Adrian Grant and Peter Barker defeated the Netherlands 4-0 in the final . James Willstrop prevailed 3-1 against Laurens Jan Anjema , Adrian Grant increased the lead with a 3-0 against Tom Hoevenaars . Lee Beachill secured the title win against Dylan Bennett . Nick Matthew won the final game 3-0 against Lucas Buit . Peter Barker missed the final on the English side, while Sebastiaan Weenink was absent from the Netherlands . Third place went to the French team ahead of Wales .
The German team finished fifth. The line-up included Simon Rösner , Stefan Leifels , Jens Schoor , Tim Weber and Patrick Gässler . The Switzerland to Andre Holder Egger , Nicolas Müller , John Williams , Marcel Straub and Marco Daetwyler finished in tenth place. Austria finished the tournament with the line-up Aqeel Rehman , Jakob Dirnberger , Andreas Freudensprung , Stefan Brauneis and Lukas Gnauer in 14th place.
In the women's game, the English team met the Netherlands in the final. Alison Waters gave England the lead with a 3-0 win over Margriet Huisman , while Tania Bailey secured an early title win with a 3-0 win over Vanessa Atkinson . In the now shortened third game, Vicky Botwright defeated her opponent Annelize Naudé 2-0. On the English side, Laura Lengthorn-Massaro and Jenny Duncalf did not make it to the final, while Karen Kronemeyer and Orla Noom were substitutes for the Dutch . Denmark came in third ahead of Germany.
The German squad consisted of Kathrin Rohrmüller , Daniela Schumann , Carola Weiß and Katharina Witt . Switzerland finished the tournament in sixth place, while Austria took 13th place overall.

The participating teams were seeded according to their placement at the previous European Championship.
For the men, those teams played for the title that were placed in groups A and B. Only the winners of the round robin group stage made it to the semi-finals. The group runners-up and thirds played together with the winners of groups C to F for places 5 to 12. The group runners-up and thirds in groups C to F played for places 13 to 20, the fourth group for places 21 to 24 and the three group fifths for places 25 to 28. Except for the last-mentioned games, all games after the group phase were played in a knockout round .
For women, the teams were placed in groups A to D, with only the teams in groups A and B playing for the title. The best two teams in groups A and B made it to the semi-finals. The other teams as well as the group winners of groups C and D played for places 5 to 12. The group runners-up and thirds of groups C and played for places 13 to 16. The bottom of groups in groups C and D played for place 17.
All teams consisted of at least three (women) or four (men) and a maximum of four or six players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per match for the women and four for the men. The order in which the individual games were played was independent of the order in which the players entered. At the tournament all places were played out.
