Katharina Witt (born January 16, 1979 in Herford ) is a former German squash player .

Career

Katharina Witt played on the WSA World Tour for the first time in 2001 . She reached her highest position in the world rankings with position 98 in July 2005.

With the German national team , she took part in the World Cup in 2004 and 2006 . Between 2003 and 2008 she was also in the squad at European Championships five times . In individual, she reached the round of 16 at the European Championships in 2005 . In the same year she represented Germany at the World Games . She was eliminated in the first round against Isabelle Stoehr . In 2006 she became German champion after beating Karin Berière in the final .
