Women's Squash World Team Championship 2004

The 14th World Team Chess Championship women ( English 2004 Women's World Team Squash Championship ) was held from 26 September to 2 October 2004 in Amsterdam in the Netherlands instead. A total of 19 teams took part.

Defending champions Australia defeated England 2-0 in the final and secured their eighth world championship title. Third place went to New Zealand , who defeated Egypt in the final game . Germany finished 17th, Switzerland 15th and the Austrian team finished the tournament in 18th place.

mode

The participating teams were drawn into four groups according to their placement. The groups played in round robin mode , and the two best-placed teams reached the final round, which was played in a knockout system . At the tournament all places were played out.

All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per encounter. A team won if its players could win two of the individual games. The order of play of the individual games is independent of the order in which the players register.
