Women's Squash World Team Championship 1992

The 8th Women World Team Championship ( English 1992 Women's World Team Squash Championships ) was held from 12th to 18th October 1992 in Vancouver , Canada , instead. A total of 18 teams took part. Brazil , South Africa and the Cayman Islands made their debut.

Defending champions England missed the final for the first time in the history of the competition, finishing third after a final win against the Netherlands . Australia became world champions for the third time , defeating New Zealand 2-1 in the final . Germany took 7th place, the Swiss team did not take part.

mode

The participating teams were drawn into four groups according to their results from the last competition for the preliminary round. Round-robin mode was used within the groups . The two best-placed teams advanced to the quarter-finals.

All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per encounter. A team won if its players could win two of the individual games. The order in which the individual games were played was independent of the order in which the players entered.
