Round-robin mode was used within the groups . The teams in groups A and B all made it to the quarter-finals, the matches were determined based on their final placements. The losing teams in the quarter-finals then met the two best-placed teams in Groups C and D.

All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per encounter.
