Danielle Harte , during her active time known by her maiden name Danielle Drady , (born October 13, 1967 in Sydney ) is a former Australian squash player .

Career

Danielle Drady began her professional career in 1987. Between 1985 and 1996 she was eight times in the main draw of the World Cup . She achieved her best result in 1990 when she reached the semi-finals. In this she was defeated by Susan Devoy in three sentences. She reached her highest place in the world rankings with second place in March 1990.

With the Australian national team , she took part in two world championships. In 1989 and 1990 she was in the final with Australia, but lost both games to England . In 1989 she lost the decisive second game against Suzanne Horner with 2: 3, which England went unassailable with 2: 0 lead. The following year she was again unsuccessful , also in the second game of the final, against Lisa Opie with 1: 3. This encounter was also lost, this time with 1: 2.

Drady was married to the squash player Rodney Martin , whom she left for his manager Phil Harte. She married Harte, who also became her manager, and had a daughter with him. Drady hit the headlines in 1994 when Harte had her wrapped in foil for promotional purposes and played the world's first outdoor squash tournament in Sydney.
