Women's Squash World Team Championship 2016

The 20th World Team Chess Championship women ( English 2016 Women's World Team Squash Championship ) was held from November 27 to December 3, 2016 in Paris , France instead. The tournament was organized by the French Squash Federation and the World Squash Federation . A total of 17 teams competed.

The defending champion was England . The team reached the final again, where they met the top-seeded Egyptians . After Laura Massaro England with a victory against Nour El Sherbini had brought in, resembled Nouran Gohar against Alison Waters with a 3: 0 win out. With the same result, Raneem El Weleily secured the third title win for Egypt against Sarah-Jane Perry . The German national team finished in 14th place, Austria did not get beyond 17th place.

A total of 17 teams from the five continental federations competed: Europe , Asia , America , Africa and Oceania .

The participating teams were drawn into four groups according to their placement, the group size was four or five teams. The groups played in round robin mode , and the two best-placed teams reached the final round, which was played in a knockout system . At the tournament all places were played out.

All teams consisted of a minimum of three and a maximum of four players who had to be reported in the order of their skill level. Three individual games were played per encounter. A team won if its players could win two of the individual games. The order of play of the individual games was independent of the order in which the players entered.
