Sarah-Jane Perry (born May 15, 1990 in Birmingham ) is an English squash player .

Career

Sarah-Jane Perry started her career in 2011 after completing her studies and has so far won ten titles on the PSA World Tour . She graduated from the University of Warwick with a Bachelor of Engineering . She achieved her best placement in the world rankings with fifth place in July 2020. She became the European U19 Junior Champion and won the 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 European Championships with the English national team . At the Squash World Cup in 2012 she was eliminated in the first round against Jenny Duncalf after successfully qualifying , but in 2013 she was already qualified as a seeded player for the main draw. In 2014 she was world champion with the English team, in 2016 and 2018 vice world champion. In 2015 and 2020 she became the British national champion. At the Commonwealth Games 2018 she reached the individual final, in which she was defeated by Joelle King and thus won silver. In doubles , she narrowly missed a medal with Laura Massaro after defeats in the semi-finals and in the bronze medal.
