Satomi Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 邉 聡 美 Watanabe Satomi ; born January 15, 1999 in Yokohama ) is a Japanese squash player .

Career

Satomi Watanabe started her career in 2014 and has so far won two titles on the PSA World Tour . She achieved her best placement in the world rankings with 44th place in August 2018. She took part in the World Cup with the Japanese national team in 2016 and 2018 , and she has also been on the Japanese squad at Asian Championships several times . In 2017 she was in the main field of the World Cup for the first time after successfully qualifying and reached the quarter-finals of the Asian Cup. At the Asian Games in 2018 she won the bronze medal with the team . In 2017, after beating Misaki Kobayashi in the final, she became Japanese champion and defended the title in 2018 and 2019.
