Wojciech Turowski or Adalbertus Turowski (born May 21, 1894 in Schönfelde , Allenstein district , East Prussia ; † December 20, 1959 in Rome ) was a Polish priest, Pallottine and Rector General between 1947 and 1953.

He attended the Collegium Marianum in Wadowice. In 1911 he joined the Pallottines in Jajkowce (now Ukraine). During the First World War, as a Prussian soldier, he commanded a medical unit. On July 10, 1921, he was ordained a priest in Limburg .

He then worked in Suchary and then in Wadowice as a professor, master novice and advisor to Father Alojzy Majewski . From 1925 to 1932 he was the successor of Father Majewski, Polish superior. In 1937 he was a member of the General Assembly and was elected Secretary General. In 1946 he became a member of the French province.

In 1947 the Pallottines were elected rector general. During his tenure, the original name Societas Apostolatus Catholici was restored with a letter from the Congregation for Religious Affairs. On January 22nd, 1950 the founder of the order Vincenzo Pallotti was beatified.

In 1950 he became the coadjutor of Teodor Kubina as Bishop of Częstochowa . However, he was unable to take up the post due to objections from the Polish authorities.

On October 19, 1950, gallstones were removed from him in a difficult operation . After that, his condition worsened and on October 23, 1950, he was given the anointing of the sick . The next day he woke up and said that he had been healed at the intercession of St. Vincenzo Pallotti. This was recognized by the church authorities in 1962 for the canonization of the founder of the order.

In 1953, his term of office ended and he became a member of the Congregation for Sacred Rites .

He died suddenly at the age of 65 and was buried in Campo Verano . He was honored with two plaques in the Sząbruk Church .
