Samantha Jean Cornett (born February 4, 1991 in Deep River ) is a former Canadian squash player .

Career

Samantha Cornett began her professional career in the 2007 season, winning 13 tournaments on the PSA World Tour . She reached her highest place in the world rankings with rank 23 in February 2018. At the Pan American Games in 2011 she won the silver medal in the individual as well as gold with the team. In 2015 she won the bronze medal in singles and the silver medal in doubles as well as with the team. In 2019 she secured the same medals in these disciplines. With the Canadian national team , she took part in world championships in 2010 , 2012 , 2016 and 2018 . She achieved her best individual result at a World Cup in 2013 when she made it to the round of 16 after successfully qualifying. She was Canadian national champion from 2013 to 2015 and again in 2019 . She ended her career in April 2020.
