Gary Anthony Waite (born September 9, 1966 in Québec ) is a retired Canadian squash player .

Career

Gary Waite began his professional career in the 1986 season and was active on the PSA World Tour until 1997 . During this time he won a total of four titles on the World Tour. He reached his highest place in the world rankings with rank 12 in January 1993. He celebrated his greatest successes in 1995 with winning two gold medals at the Pan American Games . In the individual competition he defeated his compatriot Jonathon Power in the final , and he also won the team competition with the Canadian team. Another high point in his career was the runner-up world championship with the Canadian national team in 1997. At the side of Jonathon Power, Graham Ryding and Kelly Patrick, he was defeated in the final against England and thus became runner-up world champion. Also in 1991 and 1995 he took part in the World Cup with Canada. Gary Waite has won the Canadian National Championship four times .
