Graham Ryding (born June 16, 1975 in Winnipeg ) is a retired Canadian squash player .

Career

Graham Ryding began his professional career in the 1992 season and was active on the PSA World Tour until 2007 . During this time he won eight touring titles. He reached his highest place in the world rankings with 10th place in November 1999. He celebrated his first major success in 1997 when he won the bronze medal at the World Games . At the Pan American Games in 1999 and 2003 he won a total of four medals. In 1999 he won the gold medal both in singles and with the Canadian team in his hometown of Winnipeg . In the individual final he defeated Jorge Gutiérrez Keen from Argentina. In Santo Domingo he reached the individual finals again in 2003, but lost there to his compatriot Shahier Razik . With the team he managed to win the gold medal again. His best result at a world championship in singles was reaching the semi-finals in 2004, which he only lost in the extension of the fifth set against Thierry Lincou . With the Canadian national team , he was runner-up behind England in 1997. He also took part with this in the 1995 , 1999 , 2001 , 2003 and 2005 World Championships . Ryding was Canadian champion three times .
