Lucas Buit (born July 18, 1967 ) is a former Dutch squash player and today's national coach.
Career
Lucas Buit was active on the PSA World Tour in the 1990s and won five titles on it. With rank 38 he achieved his best placement in the world rankings. With the Dutch national team he took in 1991 , 1993 , 1995 , 1999 , 2001 and 2003 at the world championships as well as at least 14 European Championships in part. In 2007 he was runner-up behind England with the team . At the world championships in individual he stood in 1994the only time in the main draw, he was eliminated in the first round. He was nominated for the 1997 World Games , where he did not get beyond the group stage. Between 1992 and 2002 he was a total of nine Dutch national champions .
After his career as a player, he became a coach and coached numerous different players. He has been national coach for the Dutch team since at least 2010.
