The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Open in 2011 were from 15 to 20 November, 2011. Hong Kong instead. The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2011/12 and belonged to the World Series Platinum category . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2011/12 and belonged to the World Series Gold category .

Defending champion in the men's race was Ramy Ashour , who did not run again this year. James Willstrop won the final against Karim Darwish 11: 5, 11: 9 and 11: 4. This was his first title at the tournament. In the women's category, Nicol David successfully defended her title from the previous year and thus won her sixth title in a row at this tournament.

The field of participants in the men's and women's competition consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were for qualifiers. The eight best men were seeded, the women the best 16 players. Per Wildcard received Max Lee and Liu Tsz-Ling each a spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize pool was $ 150,000 for the men and $ 74,000 for the women.
