Mohd Azlan Iskandar (born June 1, 1982 in Kuching , Sarawak ) is a former Malaysian squash player .

Career

Mohd Azlan Iskandar was active on the professional tour from 2000 to 2012 and won 14 titles during that time. He grew up in Malaysia as the son of a Malaysian and a Scotsman before moving to London early in his career . Together with his compatriot Ong Beng Hee he lived and trained there during his active time as a professional athlete under the training of Peter Genever . In addition to a bronze medal at the World Games 2009 , he also won a bronze, silver and gold medal each at the Asian Games in 2006 and 2010. In 2006 and 2008 he was Asian champion with the Malaysian national team , and in the individual he achieved this success in the Years 2008 and 2010. With the national team he took part in 1999 , 2001 , 2003 , 2005 , 2007 , 2009 and 2011 world championships. His highest ranking in the world rankings was tenth in March 2011. On September 2, 2012 Mohd Azlan Iskandar announced his resignation. In 2014, he made a comeback at the Malaysian Open to prepare for the 2014 Asian Games . There he won another silver medal with the team .

Mohd Azlan Iskandar has been married to Ung Yiu Lin since December 2012, with whom he had a daughter in December 2013.
