Cathay Pacific Squash Open 2004

The Cathay Pacific Squash Open 2004 took place from August 31 to September 5, 2004 in Hong Kong . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2004/05 and endowed with US $ 120,000.

Defending champion was Peter Nicol , who lost to Adrian Grant in five sets in the round of 16 this year . In the final, third-placed Thierry Lincou defeated his eighth-placed opponent Nick Matthew 11: 4, 11: 8 and 13:11. This was Lincou's first title win at the tournament, having been in the final in 2001 and losing to David Palmer .

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of whom were qualifiers. The 16 best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Wong Wai-hang a spot in the main draw.
