Mark Chaloner (born May 23, 1972 in Nocton , Lincolnshire ) is a retired English squash player .

Career

In 1993 Mark Chaloner made his tour debut. In his career he won two titles on the PSA World Tour and reached seventh in September 2001, his highest ranking in the world rankings. His greatest successes include winning the 1995 World Cup with the English national team , as well as six team titles between 1996 and 2003 at European Championships . Between 2001 and 2003, Mark Chaloner was the captain of the English team. At the Commonwealth Games in 1998 he won the gold medal in doubles with Paul Johnson . In 2002 he and Johnson were able to win bronze again.

In November 2006, Mark Chaloner announced his retirement from the professional tour. His last game in a main draw he played at the US Open against Anthony Ricketts ; at the time he was listed on rank 35 in the world rankings.

Mark Chaloner was President of PSA from 2002 to 2007 and Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2007 to 2008. From 2002 to 2009 he also held the post of director.

Private

Mark Chaloner is married and lives in the Cayman Islands . He is currently a squash coach in the United States .
