North Kesteven is a district in the county of Lincolnshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Sleaford . Other significant places are Branston , Heckington and North Hykeham .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and resulted from the merger of the Urban District Sleaford and the Rural Districts East Kesteven and North Kesteven. These previously all belonged to Kesteven , an administrative county that existed from 1889 to 1974 .
