Anthony Ricketts (born March 12, 1979 in Sydney ) is a former Australian squash player .
Career
Ricketts rose steadily in the world rankings during his professional career. He made the biggest and most important jump in 2002 when he moved from the top 30 to the top ten. That year he also won the silver medal in doubles at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester . In 2003 he won the world championship with the Australian national team . In 2004 he had to take a seven-month break for the first time due to a knee injury, but the following year was to be the best of his career to date: He managed to win both the Tournament of Champions and the British Open , two titles in the PSA World Series . As a result, Ricketts climbed to position three in the world rankings. With the Australian national team, he took part in a team world championship for the last time in 2005 .
The following year, 2006, Ricketts also won the PSA Super Series in the final against Lee Beachill . With his partner Stewart Boswell he also became world champion in doubles, which would be Ricketts' last big title. In December 2007, he retired from his career due to an ongoing knee injury. He won nine titles on the PSA World Tour during his career and stood in eight other finals.
Anthony Ricketts worked after his playing career as a coach at the Australian Institute of Sport in Brisbane . He is a member of the Squash Australia Hall of Fame .

Anthony Ricketts is married to former New Zealand professional squasher Shelley Kitchen . The couple have two daughters.
