Wael Hatem El Hindi (born June 25, 1980 in Giza ) is a former Egyptian squash player .

Career

Wael El Hindi began his career in 1999 and won eight tournaments on the PSA World Tour . His biggest title on the tour was winning the US Open against Laurens Jan Anjema . In addition, he stood in another five finals. His highest ranking in the world rankings was eighth in November 2008. With the Egyptian national team , he became world champion in Islamabad in 2009 after failing in the 2007 semi-finals. He was also on the squad in 2003 and 2005 . Already in his junior career he reached the world championship final, which he lost against Ong Beng Hee with 9: 7, 5: 9, 0: 9 and 5: 9. He ended his career in January 2013.
