The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2014/15 and belonged to the World Series Gold category .

Defending champion for men was Nick Matthew , for women Nicol David . However, Matthew decided not to participate as he was still recovering from knee surgery. In the final, the two top seeded players, Grégory Gaultier and Mohamed Elshorbagy, faced each other. Elshorbagy won the game with 11: 9, 11: 2, 4:11, 8:11 and 11: 4, which meant that Gaultier was left behind for the fifth time in the final of this tournament. It was David's ninth straight title in Hong Kong.
