Fares Mohamed Dessouki (born September 29, 1994 in Cairo ) is an Egyptian squash player .

Career

Fares Dessouki started his professional career in 2011 and has so far won three tournaments on the PSA World Tour . He achieved his highest place in the world rankings with eighth place in November 2017. Even during his time with the juniors, he celebrated greater successes. In 2013 he was in the final of the Junior World Championship , which he lost to Karim El Hammamy with 8:11, 6:11, 11: 6 and 11:13. On his World Championship debut in 2013, he qualified directly after winning over Rex Hedrick and Peter Creed . In the opening round he defeated, still outside the top 100, with Alan Clyne the number 32 in the world rankings.

He is studying economics at the University of Alexandria .
