Nicolette Fernandes (born June 19, 1983 in Toronto , Canada ) is a former Guyanese squash player .

Career

Nicolette Fernandes began her professional career in the 2003 season and won two titles on the WSA World Tour . She reached her highest ranking in the world rankings with position 19 in October 2013. In the 2007 season, Nicolette Fernandes suffered a knee injury that resulted in a 23-month break. In March 2009 she made her comeback. At the South American Games 2010 in Medellín she won the gold medal in singles and in doubles and bronze with the team. In the same year she became the Guyanese champion in women and men, for which she was named Guyanese athlete of the year . At the Pan American Games in 2011 in Guadalajara she won the bronze medal in singles. In 2017 she ended her professional career.
