The Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Open in 2015 found from November 29 to December 6, 2015 in Hong Kong instead. The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2015/16 and belonged to the PSA World Series category . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2015/16 and also belonged to the women's PSA World Series category .

The defending champions were Mohamed Elshorbagy , who defeated Grégory Gaultier 3-2 in the final, and Nicol David , who beat Nour El Tayeb in three sets in the final last year and won the tournament for the ninth time in a row. Peter Barker announced in advance that he would end his career after the tournament. He was eliminated in the first round against Mohamed Elshorbagy. Elshorbagy and David each won the tournament again. In the men's final Elshorbagy beat Cameron Pilley with 11: 8, 11: 6 and 11: 8, while Nicol David won against Laura Massaro with 15:13, 11: 9 and 11: 3.

The fields of participants in the men's and women's competitions each consisted of 32 players, eight of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Leo Au in the men's and Liu Tsz-Ling a spot in the main draw in the women each.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 150,000 for the men and $ 95,000 for the women.
